Bob hair pictures
It1s admirable the persistence and commitment of someone who gathers pics of bobs and napes from everywhere and gives a nice framing on the web for them. Posted by Harriet.
A touch of the clippers on my nape.
I couldn't resist and called my salon, setting an appointment for haircut and color service. I wanted to keep the side bangs intact, but my nape HAD TO BE CLIPPERED again... Oh, my... Harry always warned me about how addicting a close clippered nape can become.

Comparing different guards
A member of LTAH Alternate Forum kindly suggested this interesting link, showing pics of a same lady with buzzed hair with different guards, from #5 to a 0000.

The shearing of a buttoned up lady

It seems that in the movie Naked Tango this woman with a bob arouses the interests of many men. Pretty obvious, uh?

After the shower: my wet hair
Have you noticed how the stray hairs have grown since my last cut? My question is: do you buzz them between visits to the stylist or barber?

A quite unusual video: a hairbuzzing short scene is repeated ad nauseum.

Huge makeover.
I am not sure if I liked it 100%, LOL. My doubt is about a certain "puffiness" on top... Yeah, I would give this one a 90/100.

A question for you.
Do you have a favorite brand of hair products? L'Oreal, Wella, Redken, Schwarzkopf, Tigi, TresSemme, Semi di Lino, Revlon, Paul Mitchell, Sebastian, Avon, there is an endless list.
Tell us about your favorite products. Do you use them on your own hair or on someone else's? you can reply anonimously, OK?
Posted by Harriet, who is unfaithful to brands, but likes at least five in the list and some others out of it.

Long to graduated bob haircut
The model maintains a neutral face most of the time. is this her natural tendency or was she obliged, as a professional model, to hide her feelings?

A sequence of pics
Some of you will love the details in every pic, others will say that it was crime in hair fetish court to split this old video into segments.

I simply adored it. I wish I had this type of hair to have a similar haircut.

Serge and Marina, parts 4 and 3
Marina: short and shorter. The buzzed look, with one long "side bang/fringe", suits her magnificently. I would prefer anothe rtone of hair, maybe the video doesn't show it as it looks for real. Serge did a great cut, as usual.
The sound of clippers devouring her already short hair is mesmerizing.
Posted by Harriet.
A Fb friend suggested this old video.
Reuploading reduced the visual quality of the material, but this is still worth a look. Note her reaction, two or three times, as he touched the nape with the clippers. He certainlywanted her to feel the blades, he aimed at an exposed area, not directly at her hair.
The style is still fashionable in terms of the nape but the sides are kind of outdated.

Passion for hair: the development of a fetish or of a successful career.
I have no idea if this stylist is a hair fan in the way most readers here understand the theme, but I am impressed that his expression of professional love, respect and admiration for hair is probably comparable to our feelings. His grandma/nonna was a visionaire.

Curlers and razor cut in dry hair
The decision of posting derives from my appreciation of this style and the adorable copperish hair color.
But let's not forget that many hair fans have pleasure curling a beautiful feminine mane and admiring the soft or tight curls that result from their work. and, the least but not the last, cut hair dry is not a usual technique (it was already used in my not so abundant manes, at the sides). As the hairdresser said< i hope you like it.

Today is cape day...
Two comments, a close friend of mine loves capes, tight around the neck, long and involving the person in chair. So this is for him.
Second, I would love to learn how to fasten the cape using this handsome stylist as a model and then I would try to persuade him to let me chop his ponytail, LOL.

If I knew German...
If I got it right, the challenge was performing well in certain tasks and giving quick, right answers so that her (lovely) haircut succeeds. It does. And, just for the records, what a sexy hairstylist...
Curls are sexy
I love my curls and I feel sexy with them, even being a not so young woman (at least, this is what my ID says... I feel something else in the deep of my soul).
I have selected some nice pics of other curly women for your enjoyement. Hope you appreciate them.

Do you like flattops?
Well, definitively, this is not my type of hairstyle. I don't like the robotic look of a squarish head. Why do I post it here then? Simply because you like it and I surrender to my readers' preferences.
My feeling is that the model is not pleased with her shearing, such a sad facial expression... poor girl...

A master class
A bob seems to be such a simple haircut. It's not, if you aim at perfection. For more than obvious reasons I have a tendency to post videos of male hairdressers in action, but this lady won my heart with her (boring to death, but precious) explanations. Expertise requires time and practice.

Merciless snipping
My impressions (please, tell us yours):
a) the "stylist" loves snipping hair, but has no idea of technique or of the style she should be getting,
b) is he a more than firm guy dealing with the model when he pushes her head down?

My latest haircutting experience: some details
I have promised you that I would report something about my last week haircut. Here it goes. Anticipation was one of the key components of the value of all the experience. Choosing the stylist, thinking about the instruction I want to give him (e.g., am I going to be vague or specific? should I risk going shorter?, etc.), discussing and sharing this with a fetishist online friend who is accepting about the whole thing (and who slightly pushes me to be daring and go short, maybe trying a pixie or a dreading little boy's haircut), all these were steps that have created a pleasant crescendo of emotions.
I have decided that I would say "Please, let my nape be very close and short, in a certain kind of daring style, and keep the shortish bob, please ". as if these words were as casual as performing a quotidianne task like buying bread at bakery shop nearby.
I set an early evening appointment. When I arrived there the place was crowded. Their clientelle is mainly very young, twentish something year old people, and many go in pairs or grouops of three. I could be their mother! This is pretty strange. Most of the female clients girls there keep their hair between jaw line (a minority) and shoulder to breast level (most of them), with highlights. Informal long looks prevail.
The staff is basically young, dressing in trendy ways (for example, two of them use those large glasses without graduated lenses just for ther sake of being fashionable, like may young people in fashionable Tokyo districts do). They are between 19 and 40, every hairdresser has an assistant. Probably between 50% of men and women there are gay, clients and professionals. My stylist is an agitated straight guy near his forties. He seems smart, skilled in reading people, guessing their profiles and preferences after few minutes of talk and observing how we dress, what we say and our movements. He gives full support to my requests and says it clearly: "a modern redhead woman like you definitively needs something stylish, going short suits you".
(I'll continue reporting this is in near future)

Submitting your hair to the demands of a life on the catwalk.
I have mixed feelings about this. If the pay weren't reasonably good, how would the models survive to some quite strange haircuts? On the other side, they usually have free access to the best in hair fashion and care.

Anticipation of my haircut...
Posted by HarrietTomorrow night I have an appointment: dye and haircut. I can't stop thinking how the clippers will feel in contact with my sensitive nape. First there is that little conversation with my stylist when I pretend to be casual telling him to keep my nape very close and short, although it is hard to hide the lascivia. It follows the large nylon cape, burgundy or black, covering my body. I feel helpless, although the rational part of me says this is so silly...The chair being pumped high just enhances the vulnerability. Usually clippers are his first tool (mmmm), and then scissors or razor. Not to forget how nice it is to relax during shampoo and conditioning, laid in the huge armchair. The quick neck and shoulder/back massage is also a treat I never refuse. Are you in the mood for your haircut now?

Side shave with a design
Well, this is a controversial style, but I am sure some of you will enjoy the details of clippers and straight razor work.
I would only get a designed nape (a butterfly, maybe?) only if a very special barber did it...

A friend tells the origin of his enthusiasm for hair
When do you know?
A story by Mr. Hairman
My earliest interest in women's hair was when I was a child, around third grade. I thought girls' hair was something really cool and they all had different colors, wave, curl, straight....it was interesting to me.
A next door neighbor who used to babysit me had shoulder length, thick black hair. I did not seem to notice it much, maybe because she was an authority figure to me.
One summer day, she came over to our house to show my mom her new haircut.
I heard all the fuss and came out of my bedroom to see what was going on.
To my surprise, here was my neighbor/babysitter with a really short pixie style cut! I was really interested!
My mom said "Look, Diane got her haircut!"
The nape was very short and the ears exposed and that long dull black hair now had a shine to it!
